Neil Warnock is reportedly being lined up to take over at League One side Huddersfield Town.
Lee Clark was sacked on Wednesday, despite the club being in contention for automatic promotion.
Warnock, who managed the Terriers for two years in the mid-nineties, is wanted by club owner Dean Hoyle, according to The Mirror.
However, Warnock could turn down his former club in favour of taking over at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Warnock, Steve Bruce and Alan Curbishley are the three main contenders linked with the job at Molineux.
