Huddersfield Town have confirmed that defender Liam Ridehalgh will make a permanent switch to Tranmere Rovers this week.
The 22-year-old has spent three months on loan at the Prenton Park club, making 17 appearances, and Terriers boss Mark Robins believes that it will be a good move for the player.
He told the club's official website: "Liam is a good professional, a great person and has been at the club for over a decade, but at this stage of his career he needs regular football and this move will allow him to get that.
"Tranmere Rovers is a good club playing in a very competitive League and we hope Liam can play a big role for them in the second half of their season."
Ridehalgh was sent off in his first game for Tranmere against Port Vale in September, but the decision later was reversed on appeal.
