Inter Milan have officially elected Erick Thohir as their new president this morning, after his company confirmed their place as the new majority shareholders at the San Siro.
Thohir's International Sports Capital completed the purchase of a majority 70% stake in Inter from Massimo Moratti, who has been named honorary chairman after finally finding new owners he believes can take the club forward.
Moratti told the club's official website: "I am truly pleased I have found the new owners of this glorious club.
"I am convinced they are more than equipped to keep on adding new successes to our beloved colours. Personally I feel honoured I have been the president of Inter for so many years."
After being electedby an eight-man board of directors at an Inter shareholders meeting earlier today Thohir takes over as president with immediate effect.
