Juventus target 100-point mark

Giorgio Chiellini challenges his Juventus teammates to make history by registering 100 points in Serie A this season.

Giorgio Chiellini has challenged his Juventus teammates to make history by exceeding the 100 point-mark in Serie A this season.

Antonio Conte's side achieved their third consecutive Scudetto title on Sunday after second-placed Roma slumped to a 4-1 defeat to Catania.

The Bianconeri currently sit on 93 points but, with another nine on offer this season, the Italy international wants to etch new pages into the club's annals.

"We've done amazingly well. We aim to exceed 100 points and get into the history of Italian football," he told Mediaset Premium.

"We must thank Roma who forced us to give more than 100%. This third title is the reward for the years where we did not win anything.

"This group is growing and we want to write new pages in the history of this club."

Inter Milan currently boast the record for most points won in a Serie A season, amassing 97 in their 2007 title-winning campaign.
