Juventus crowned Serie A champions after win over Sampdoria

Arturo Vidal's first-half header wraps up all three points for Juventus and in turn seals their fourth-straight Serie A championship.

Arturo Vidal's first-half header secured all three points for Juventus against Sampdoria in turn and sealed their fourth straight Serie A title.

Juve are now 17 points clear of second-place Lazio, who can only win 15 points from their five remaining games.

The Bianconeri started the game brightly and were rewarded for a dominant first-half display when a Stephan Lichtsteiner cross was met by the Chilean midfielder at the back post.

Sampdoria did everything to get back into the game as defender Lorenzo De Silvestri headed just wide from a set piece.

Carlos Tevez forced Emiliano Viviano into a smart save when the Argentine striker's powerful shot was palmed away by the Italian keeper.

Juventus played a flawless defensive game, with Leonardo Bonucci's last-ditch tackle saving his side from conceding a Sampdoria equaliser.

The Turin club saw out the rest of the second half to clinch the Scudetto in Massimiliano Allegri's first year in charge.
