Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has claimed that goalkeeper Jack Butland will learn a lot during his time on loan at Leeds United in the Championship.
Butland spent part of the first half of the season on loan at Barnsley and has now switched the relegation battle for a potential playoff push.
"Hopefully he can go there, get games and continue his development, because he has had a good year," Sky Sports News quotes Hughes as saying. "He has been out on loan already, and then played a few Premier League games which was crucial for him.
"Now this opportunity to go to Leeds, where they have a big fanbase and big expectations will be another good step for him."
Butland played twice on his return from Barnsley while first-choice Asmir Begovic was injured.
