Neil Redfearn: 'Leeds United deserved more than draw'

Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn believes that his team deserved to beat Charlton following their 2-2 draw.

Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn has claimed that his side deserved more out of their 2-2 draw with Charlton Athletic.

United took the lead twice at Elland Road on Tuesday night, but a late goal from Johann Berg Gudmundsson saw the spoils shared.

The result has extended the team's winless run to eight games in the Championship, but Refearn is remaining optimistic that he can turn things around quickly.

"We were the better side by a straight. They're a good side but we were better and deserved to win," the former midfielder is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"The harder we work the luckier we will get. It's time for a win but we have to keep going down these lines. We are a wounded animal at the minute but I won't let them rest. I will make them better."

Leeds are back in action on Saturday when they host Blackpool in the league.
