Leicester City boss Claude Puel has revealed that midfielder Matty James will miss the rest of the season due to an Achilles injury.
Before the start of this campaign, James had been able to make just one appearance in two years due to a serious knee injury, but the 26-year-old recovered to play 15 times in all competitions.
However, James faces another spell on the sidelines after picking up an issue with his Achilles which requires surgery.
At a press conference, Puel told reporters: "James has had surgery on Tuesday on his Achilles tendon. He will be not available until the end of the season.
"He will be ready for the next season. It is difficult but a good thing because he now knows the problem. It is not a big problem but now need patience to recover."
James has been with the Foxes since 2012, making 115 appearances in all competitions.
