Russell Slade hails Leyton Orient resistance

Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade hails his team's never-say-die attitude for scoring late to earn a 2-1 win over Colchester United.

Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade has hailed his team's never-say-die attitude for scoring late to earn a 2-1 win over Colchester United.

Moses Odubajo struck an 83rd-minute winner for Orient shortly after Marcus Bean had cancelled out David Mooney's first-half opener.

"It was tense. I didn't enjoy it at the end! But those key moments are going our way and those moments can define a season," he told the club's official website.

"I think for the neutral it was a great game to watch. We just keep going though, we never give up."

Despite the win, Slade's team slip to second in the League One standings on goal difference behind Wolverhampton Wanderers.
