Liverpool midfielder James Milner has been forced to pull out of the England squad for the upcoming international friendlies against Spain and France.
Milner, who has 57 caps for his country, picked up an injury in Liverpool's Europa League tie away at Rubin Kazan on Thursday.
He sat out the Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday and now England have confirmed that he will play no part against Spain or France after initially being named in Roy Hodgson's 23-man squad.
Hodgson, whose side landed in Alicante today, has decided not to replace Milner in the squad for the matches away in Spain on Friday and at home to Euro 2016 hosts France next Tuesday.
