Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish has admitted that he has been impressed with new manager Jurgen Klopp so far.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss has been appointed as successor to Brendan Rodgers on a three-year contract, four days after the club dismissed the Northern Irishman.
Dalglish, who played for Liverpool and managed the club across two separate spells, has said that he is excited to see how the 48-year-old German fares at Anfield.
"I just heard Klopp's press conference and he sounds very, very impressive. I think the supporters will need to fasten their seat belts - I'm sure they will really enjoy him," Dalglish told The Independent.
"He seems to be somebody who's not in love with himself, which the Liverpool supporters can relate to. I'm sure they will take him to their hearts. He's described himself as 'the normal one' and that will do them fine because they regard themselves as being pretty normal.
"I don't know him - I've only seen snippets on TV or radio but he came across very, very well this morning and I think that augurs well for everybody."
Klopp's first game in charge will be away at Tottenham Hotspur on October 17.
