Gareth McAuley backs West Bromwich Albion for Liverpool double

West Bromwich Albion defender Gareth McAuley believes that his side have enough quality to beat Liverpool at Anfield tomorrow night despite their poor recent form.

West Bromwich Albion defender Gareth McAuley has insisted that Steve Clarke's side are capable of beating Liverpool at Anfield tomorrow night if they play at their maximum.

The Baggies stunned Liverpool on the opening day of this season with a 3-0 win and were victorious on their last visit to Anfield in April.

McAuley told the club's official website: "It'll be tough at Liverpool, but it's a challenge that we have to step up to and relish.

"We turned them over on the opening day but it's going to be a tough game at Anfield. Liverpool are looking good at the moment.

"We went there last year, were solid and did them on the counter-attack. We know it's achievable on our day if we get everything right."

Albion are yet to record a Premier League victory in 2013 but can go above Liverpool into eighth place with three points at Anfield.
