Liverpool have reportedly been dealt a blow in their efforts to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.
The Merseyside giants are likely to be in the market for a new central midfielder next summer having failed to find a natural replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum.
Numerous reports have suggested that manager Jurgen Klopp is an admirer of Bellingham, who has already made 63 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit despite only turning 18 years of age in June.
However, according to Sport Bild, the England international is increasingly likely to spend at least one more campaign at the Westfalenstadion.
At a time when he is receiving regular game time, the report suggests that the teenager would prefer to continue his development in Germany rather than risk less outings in his homeland.
Bellingham still has over three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract at Dortmund.
