Liverpool have reportedly launched a £16m bid for AC Milan defender Mattia De Sciglio.
Manager Jurgen Klopp has made seven signings already this summer, but there are rumours that he is looking for a new full-back.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Merseyside outfit have tabled an offer for De Sciglio, who made his senior debut in Milan five years ago and has gone on to make 85 appearances.
The 23-year-old's agent Donato Orgnoni has suggested that Liverpool have a fight on their hands if they want to sign his client as "many clubs", including Napoli, have expressed an interest.
"There are definitely many clubs interested, we are looking around both in Italy and abroad," Orgnoni is quoted as saying. "We have also had contact with Napoli."
De Sciglio was part of the Italy squad that reached the quarter-finals of Euro 2016.
