Liverpool are reportedly lining up a bid for Schalke 04 midfielder Max Meyer.
The 20-year-old has established himself as a regular in the Schalke first team in recent seasons, making 95 Bundesliga appearances despite his young age.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is understood to be a keen admirer of the one-time Germany international and tried to sign him during his time in charge of Borussia Dortmund.
Liverpool themselves were also interested in Meyer in 2014, and Bild now reports that they have reignited that interest this summer.
The report goes on to state that the Reds are willing to make a £28m bid for the youngster, who has just two years remaining on his contract at the Veltins Arena.
Schalke are likely to be unwilling to sell Meyer, though, particularly if they lose Leroy Sane to Manchester City this summer.
