Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly prepared to offer Kylian Mbappe an astronomical pay-rise in order to keep the forward at the Parc des Princes.
With the France international having less than two-and-a-half years left on his contract, Real Madrid are ready to make an official bid for the 21-year-old.
However, PSG's sporting director Leonardo has frequently insisted that the French giants do not want to part ways with the World Cup winner this summer.
Rather than sell Mbappe for a world-record fee, AS claims that PSG would rather hand the star a contract similar to that of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The report says that they are happy to hand Mbappe a lucrative deal worth €50m (£41.68m) after tax in order to ensure that he remains in Paris.
While Liverpool are allegedly monitoring the situation, they are unlikely to be willing to match that potential offer from PSG.
