Liverpool transfer news: Mohamed Salah to receive offer from Paris Saint-Germain?

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah may reportedly receive a proposal from Paris Saint-Germain at the start of 2025.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Paris Saint-Germain.

The 32-year-old scored his 13th goal of the campaign on Sunday evening as Liverpool recorded a 2-0 victory over Manchester City.

With the Merseyside giants holding a nine-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, everything is going perfectly on the pitch for Arne Slot.

However, it is a different story off it with Liverpool yet to agree fresh terms with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Salah, all of whom are due to be out of contract at the end of the season.

Salah has recently been outspoken regarding his future, indicating on more than one occasion that he can currently envisage an exit from Anfield given a lack of negotiations between the relevant parties.

With the turn of the year now less than a month away, Liverpool must move fast if they wish to prevent Salah from holding pre-contract discussions with foreign clubs.

PSG ready to take their chance?

As per L'Equipe, PSG are ready to tempt the Egypt international into making the switch to Parc des Princes.

The report claims that there is "a good chance" that the versatile attacker will choose to move to the French capital, helped by a positive relationship with president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

PSG have recently moved away from having an elite star in their attack with Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe all having left the club over the past 18 months.

While that has not impacted on their efforts in Ligue 1, PSG have only accumulated four points from their five fixtures in the Champions League.

An opportunity to sign a player of Salah's profile may prove too appealing to turn down, particularly if there is interest from the player's side.

How do PSG look in attack?

If Salah arrived at PSG, he would realistically become first choice on the right flank, a position currently held by Ousmane Dembele.

Although the France international has not always been viewed as an automatic pick by Luis Enrique, he has five goals and four assists from his 697 minutes of Ligue 1 football during 2024-25.

Bradley Barcola is an automatic pick on the opposite flank, with Salah potentially viewed as someone who could be used down the centre, a role currently held by Marco Asensio.

Nevertheless, if may prove counter-productive to sign Salah and not use him on the right flank, and no doubt a question that would be asked by the player himself if discussions were to progress.
