Villarreal offer Tottenham Hotspur the chance to sign Arnaut Danjuma on an initial loan deal, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Arnaut Danjuma, with the attacker likely to leave Villarreal before the end of the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old missed the start of the 2022-23 campaign through injury, but he has been a regular in recent months, featuring on 17 occasions for the Yellow Submarine, scoring six times in the process.

Danjuma was also in strong form for his Spanish club last season, managing 16 goals and four assists in 34 appearances, which led to claims that Liverpool wanted to sign him over the summer.

The Netherlands international has a contract with Villarreal until June 2026, but he is currently being strongly linked with a return to the Premier League.

Danjuma turned out for Bournemouth between 2019 and 2021, scoring 17 goals and registering eight assists in 52 appearances for the club in all competitions.

The Cherries have been linked with a return for the attacker, while Nottingham Forest and Everton have also been credited with an interest in his services.

According to Relevo, Tottenham have also been contacted to discuss a possible switch this month.

The report claims that both Danjuma and his agent have been in England with a view to securing a return to the Premier League, and Villarreal have offered Spurs the chance to sign him.

The La Liga club allegedly want a loan fee of £2.5m to let him leave for the rest of this season, with a permanent transfer potentially going through this summer for around £27m.

Danjuma has an impressive record of 22 goals and four assists in 51 appearances for Villarreal in all competitions, but he is not believed to be in the plans of head coach Quique Setien moving forward.

Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has spoken on a number of occasions about his desire to bring more players to the club, although there is currently speculation surrounding his future.

A recent report claimed that former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is being lined up as a possible replacement for the Italian, who is said to be leaning towards leaving the club.

Spurs suffered a 2-0 loss to North London rivals Arsenal in the league on Sunday, and they will be back in action on Thursday night away to the champions Manchester City.
