Vincent Kompany back in training

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany returns to training following a six-week absence through a thigh injury.

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has returned to training having missed six weeks through a thigh injury.

Kompany has been sidelined since he picked up a knock during City's 3-1 victory over Everton, but returned to training with his teammates on Tuesday ahead of his side's clash with Viktoria Plzen.

It is unknown whether or not City boss Manuel Pellegrini has decided to feature Kompany in tomorrow's Champions League fixture.

City have already gained qualification to the next round of the competition.
