Pep Guardiola has reportedly instructed Manchester City chiefs to try to secure the services of Leonardo Bonucci in the summer.
It is believed that the incoming City boss has identified the defence as one of the main areas that is in need of improvements at the Etihad Stadium.
According to the Daily Mail, the player at the top of the Spanish coach's wishlist is Juventus centre-back Bonucci.
The report adds that the Italy international is valued at around £25m by his current employers.
Bonucci joined Juve from Bari in 2010 and he has gone on to make over 250 appearances for the club.
