Jose Mourinho pleased with Victor Lindelof progress

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho praises Victor Lindelof for putting in "another very positive performance" as the Red Devils beat Watford 4-2 at Vicarage Road.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has praised Victor Lindelof for the way that the defender is adapting to the English game.

The Red Devils clinched a third Premier League victory in a row by claiming a 4-2 win over Watford on Tuesday night.

Lindelof, who arrived to Old Trafford from Benfica in the summer, struggled to find his feet at the start of the season but has started United's last three league fixtures.

At Vicarage Road, the 23-year-old impressed with a composed performance to keep the likes of Richarlison and Andre Gray at bay.

"I think Richarlison is a very good player and a difficult player to play against but Victor is very fast," Mourinho told MUTV.

"He has adapted to play centrally but also to go to the sides because he's got the agility that many of the central defenders don't have. I think it was another very positive performance by Victor."

Lindelof, a Sweden international, has made 11 appearances so far for United.
