According to Tuttomercato, the Blues are monitoring the development of Kumbulla, who has impressed in Serie A this season.
The 19-year-old has made 12 starts in Italy's top flight, helping Verona into eighth place in the standings.
Although Verona are open to cashing in on the Albanian, club officials are also wary of parting ways with one of their key men at the midway point of the campaign.
