Manchester City are reportedly regarded as the favourites to pip the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool in the race to sign Barcelona youngster Juan Larios.

Manchester City are reportedly on the brink of winning the race for Barcelona youngster Juan Larios.

While the 15-year-old is highly regarded at Camp Nou, it has recently been claimed that the teenager and his representatives have been left unsure about his potential route into the first-team setup.

As a result, offers from other clubs have been considered, with the prospect able to sign for another team before he turns 16 years of age on January 12.

According to the Daily Star, Man City are close to edging out the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool to sign the left-back next month.

The report adds that, despite continuing to make a significant effort to retain the services of Larios, Barcelona have accepted that they have lost the battle to one of their European rivals.
