Manchester United 'emerge as contenders for Willian'

Manchester United could reportedly attempt to sign Chelsea attacker Willian on a free transfer this summer.

Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close eye on Willian's contract situation at Chelsea.

The Brazil international will see his current deal at Stamford Bridge expire this summer and has allegedly rejected Chelsea's latest offer as he wants a three-year extension.

Paris Saint-Germain have been strongly linked with the attacker, but according to le10sport, United have emerged as suitors for the South American ahead of the summer.

The 31-year-old has scored seven times and registered six assists in 37 appearances at club level this season, including a goal and an assist in Sunday's 4-0 win over Everton in the Premier League.

Willian has now made 226 Premier League appearances since joining the Blues in August 2013 but his time with Frank Lampard's side could be coming to an end.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also believed to be keeping an eye on developments as the attacker is allegedly keen to remain in the English capital.
