Report: Chelsea consider Matteo Darmian move

A report claims that Chelsea could move for Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian in the January transfer window.

Chelsea are reportedly considering a January swoop for Manchester United right-back Matteo Darmian.

The 26-year-old impressed during his first season at Old Trafford, but has not made a single appearance under Jose Mourinho, who has thus far preferred Antonio Valencia on the right side of the Man United defence.

Juventus have been linked with a loan move for the Italian international, but according to Calciomercato Chelsea are also in the hunt as Antonio Conte prepares to replace Branislav Ivanovic.

Darmian, who is contracted to Man United until the summer of 2019, could make his first appearance of the season in Thursday's Europa League clash with Dutch side Feyenoord.
