Manchester United have reportedly identified RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano as a potential summer signing.
The North-West giants failed to bring in a new centre-back during the last two transfer windows, but strengthening that area of the pitch ahead of the next campaign is a priority.
A number of established players have been linked with a switch to Old Trafford, but according to Bild journalist Christian Falk, United are considering a move for 20-year-old Upamecano.
The young Frenchman has already made 73 appearances for RB Leipzig in all competitions, and it is expected that he will eventually move to one of European football's top clubs.
The report claims that Bayern Munich are also interested in Upamecano, who has a release clause of €100m (£88.04m).
