Robin van Persie has revealed that he wants Cesc Fabregas to join him at Manchester United next season.
Fabregas, who played alongside Van Persie at Arsenal, has been widely linked with a move to the Premier League champions this summer.
United submitted a bid in the region of £25m for the Spaniard last week, but thus far Barcelona have not issued a response.
When asked if he would welcome Fabregas next season, Van Persie told reporters in Australia: "Of course, he's a great player."
Van Persie scored United's fifth in their 5-1 win over the A-League All Stars on Saturday.
