Defender Patrice Evra has been banned from featuring in UEFA matches for seven months after kicking a Marseille supporter last week.
Ahead of last week's Europa League tie with Vitoria De Guimaraes, Evra was involved in a confrontation with a travelling fan before aiming a kick towards the upper body of the supporter.
Evra was soon suspended by the French giants while an investigation was carried out, and UEFA has also decided to act just over a week after the incident.
The 36-year-old - whose contract at the club expires at the end of the season - will now be unable to represent Marseille throughout the remainder of their Europa League campaign
Marseille would go on to lose the game in Portugal by a 1-0 scoreline, leaving the French giants in second place in their group.
