Half-Time Report: Danny Graham gives Middlesbrough lead

Danny Graham scores twice to give Middlesbrough a 2-0 lead over Ipswich Town in their Championship match at the Riverside Stadium.

Two goals from Danny Graham have given Middlesbrough a 2-0 lead over Ipswich Town in their Championship match at the Riverside Stadium this afternoon.

The visitors wasted a great chance to take the lead when the ball deflected kindly into the path of Paul Taylor, but the striker fired his attempt over the bar.

Middlesbrough came close soon after as Mustapha Carayol drove through the midfield before drilling an effort just wide of the post.

In the 29th minute Middlesbrough went ahead when Graham poked home from close range after the keeper had parried a strike from Carayol.

At the end of the half the home side scored their second of the match, as Graham met Grant Leadbitter's corner to head past Dean Gerken and into the net.
