Neil Harris has claimed that he could not ask for more from his Millwall players following the goalless draw with Brighton & Hove Albion.
The stalemate leaves Millwall eight points adrift of safety in the Championship, but Harris refused to direct any criticism at the side on a night when both teams missed good chances to record the win.
"All we're talking in terms of the necessary improvement is little things here and there," the Millwall boss told reporters. "The boys couldn't give me any more apart from a goal.
"We're trying to put a team out there that gives the fans what they want and is effective.
"I wasn't always the best player when I played here but I played with my heart on my sleeve. These players can do that."
Millwall return to action against Brentford on Saturday.
