Rafael Benitez credits Sassuolo

Rafael Benitez admits that Sassuolo deserved a draw for their performance against his Napoli side.

Napoli coach Rafael Benitez has admitted that Sassuolo played very well for their point in the 1-1 Serie A draw in Naples on Wednesday night.

Although the hosts had a number of chances to win the game, Sassuolo responded from their 7-0 win at the weekend to claim a creditable draw. For Benitez, there is no need to panic about one result.

"I know everyone expected our victory, but you can not always win," he told reporters. "This is a game with three possible outcomes.

"Sassuolo played very well. Tonight we could not win the ball by pressing and I think it was more to their credit than errors on our part. Sassuolo have actually played very well."

Napoli travel to Genoa on Sunday in their next league game.
