Louis van Gaal has been named as the new manager of the Netherlands national team.
The 60-year-old has replaced Bert van Marwijk after the former coach left his post following the Dutch team's poor showing at Euro 2012.
Van Gaal has now signed a contract which will take him up to the 2014 World Cup.
Former Dutch and Ajax captain Danny Blind is believed to have been appointed as assistant coach, according to reports.
Van Gaal's last managerial job was with Bayern Munich before he was sacked in 2011.
The former midfielder has also taken charge of Ajax and Barcelona during his 26-year coaching career.
