Newcastle United are keeping tabs on Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly according to a report.
The Magpies had a busy transfer window in January, with the new owners financially backing new manager Eddie Howe as they fight against relegation within the second half of the season.
However, they are already making preparations for the next window, taking a look at someone that Howe has previously worked with throughout his career while coaching the Cherries.
According to the Sunday Mirror, Newcastle are monitoring Kelly and they are considering a transfer for him in the summer transfer market.
However, the potential of this deal happening depends on whether or not the Magpies are able to retain their status in the top flight, and whether or not Bournemouth earn promotion.
Newcastle United will be back in action on Tuesday when they face Everton in the Premier League.
