Robbie Savage joins the lineup for this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

Robbie Savage will appear on this year's Strictly Come Dancing, the BBC has confirmed.

The former Derby County man, known for his outspoken views and rough style of play, is one of 14 celebrity contestants taking to the dancefloor later this month.

Among his competitors are Audley Harrison and Sven-Goran Eriksson's ex, Nancy Dell'Olio.

After the announcement, Savage tweeted: "So tweeps what I'm I doing, not a very good footballer and even worse dancer , love the spray tan though ! I'm so nervous ! [sic]"

He went on to tweet a picture of his spray tan and added: "Wales have as much chance of scoring [tonight] with one upfront than me winning strictly !! [sic]"

Other Strictly contestants include McFly drummer Harry Judd, Edwina Currie and Lulu.
