Wayne Rooney misses Manchester United's trip to Norwich City with a throat infection.

Wayne Rooney has been ruled out of Manchester United's trip to Norwich City this afternoon with a throat infection.

Javier Hernandez has taken Rooney's place in the starting lineup, while Ryan Giggs will make his 900th appearance for the club.

Hosting Norwich welcome back goalkeeper John Ruddy between the posts but Steve Morison will start the match on the bench.

Norwich: Ruddy; Drury, Whitbread, Ward, Naughton; Pilkington, Surman, Johnson, Fox; Holt, Jackson
