Canadian billionaire Lawrence Tanenbaum is reportedly preparing a bid for Nottingham Forest.
The 67-year-old, who is chairman of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, is said to be in negotiations with investment bankers Seymour Pierce over the East Midlands club.
The talks have reportedly made progress as a result of Forest regaining their Championship status last month, according to The Sun.
The club is currently being financially supported by the estate of the late Nigel Doughty.
