Cristiano Ronaldo believes that there is enough quality in the Portugal squad for his nation to have a successful Euro 2012 campaign this summer.
The Portuguese have been handed a tough group at the tournament, having been drawn alongside Germany, Holland and Denmark.
Nevertheless, captain Ronaldo is adamant that the "potential" is there for the Portuguese to be more than competitive.
"This team has the potential to win something important, and the things that we are missing will appear at the Euros," Ronaldo told SIC.
"We will give our best against Germany, we will run from the first to the last minute and I hope that things will go well."
Portugal begin the competition against Germany on Saturday.
