Paris Saint-Germain star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been issued with a four-match ban for a foul-mouthed rant about France.

The 33-year-old was caught on film describing the country as "shit" and also insulted referee Lionel Jaffredo by calling him an "arsehole".

The comments were made in the tunnel following PSG's late 3-2 defeat to Bordeaux last month, in which Ibrahimovic scored both goals for the visitors.

The Sweden international later apologised for his remarks, but the French Football Federation's disciplinary committee has opted to hand him a four-game ban as punishment.

The striker is eligible to play in the Coupe de le Ligue final this Saturday against Bastia, but he will miss Ligue 1 matches against Nice, Lille, Metz and Nantes.
