Chris Ramsey wants Queens Park Rangers stay

Queens Park Rangers manager Chris Ramsey is hoping that he will still be in the job next season despite failing to steer them clear of Premier League relegation.

Chris Ramsey has revealed that he would like to be given the opportunity to mount a promotion challenge with Queens Park Rangers in the Championship next season.

The 53-year-old took charge of the Hoops in February, but he was unable to guide the club to Premier League safety, with their relegation being confirmed by today's 6-0 defeat away at Manchester City.

There had been suggestions that Ramsey will now move on, but he has insisted that he would like to stay at Loftus Road.

"Yes, I really do [want to stay]. I've taken the club to my heart and I really want to be here," he told Sky Sports News.

Rangers have won just two of the 13 games that Ramsey has taken charge of.
