Marseille midfielder Stephane Mbia has revealed that he has chosen to join Queens Park Rangers despite a late bid from Turkish side Fenerbahce.
Mbia will become QPR manager Mark Hughes's 10th signing of the summer if he completes his move to Loftus Road.
However, the Cameroon international admits that he will be leaving Marseille with a heavy heart, having won a league title and three cups with the club.
"Marseille is still in my heart," he said. "I won my first titles here.
"I have chosen Queens Park Rangers despite a last-minute bid from Fenerbahce. It's a new challenge to enjoy. I always aim as high as possible.
"I am excited but calm over this move. I will discover another world."
Meanwhile, a deal between the two clubs for Joey Barton is nearing completion after the midfielder passed the first part of his medical yesterday.
