Reading have signed Billericay striker Rowan Liburd to play in their development group.
The 22-year-old has signed a two-year deal after scoring 22 goals between November and April last season.
Director of football Nick Hammond said in a statement: "The challenge now is for [Liburd] to fulfil his undoubted potential, and we have already seen that he has an excellent work ethic and a willingness to learn.
"Those attributes are absolutely vital to any player who wants to make the most of themselves."
The 6'4" forward spent four years playing on a college football scholarship in the USA before returning to England last summer.
Reading kick off their Championship campaign next month with a trip to Birmingham.
