Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez will reportedly spend the next week on the sidelines with a muscular injury.

Real Madrid will reportedly again be without James Rodriguez for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Galatasaray as the attacker battles to overcome a muscular problem.

The 28-year-old, who returned to Los Blancos over the summer following a loan spell at Bayern Munich, has missed Madrid's last two league games against Leganes and Real Betis.

Rodriguez was recently given time off following the birth of his second child, but according to Marca, the attacker is not ready to feature for Zinedine Zidane's side due to a muscular issue.

The report claims that the injury will keep the Colombia international on the sidelines for the next week, meaning that he is also a doubt for the trip to Eibar in the league next weekend.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future over the summer, James has been a regular for the capital giants this season, making nine appearances in all competitions.

Zidane is also still unable to call upon Marco Asensio and Nacho due to long-term knee injuries, while Gareth Bale did not train on Sunday as he battles to overcome a troublesome calf issue.
