Zinedine Zidane: "We'll never throw the towel in"

Head coach Zinedine Zidane says that Real Madrid will keep battling for the La Liga title, despite being nine points behind rivals and leaders Barcelona.

Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane has insisted that his side will not give up their pursuit of the La Liga title.

Yesterday's 1-1 draw away at Malaga has left third-placed Real nine points adrift of leaders Barcelona with 13 matches left to play.

Even so, Zidane has stressed that Real will battle for the top prize until the end.

"Today we dropped two points, but we'll never throw the towel in," he told the club's official website.

"We're not going to relax, for me there's no such thing. We've got La Liga and the Champions League and we're going to fight right until the end.

"The other teams can drop points, but I'm not thinking about the other teams. I'm just thinking about us carrying on regardless of what happens."

Los Blancos were last crowned champions of Spain in 2011-12.
