Barcelona's sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta feels that his side should have had a penalty in their 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid this afternoon.

Barcelona's sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta believes that his side should have been awarded a penalty in their 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid this afternoon.

The La Liga leaders were denied the spot kick when Adriano appeared to have been tripped by Sergio Ramos, which led to several Barca players confronting referee Miguel Angel Perez Lasa at full time.

"The images are very clear on that incident, it was a clear penalty to Adriano," Zubizarreta told reporters after the game.

"It deserved to be a tied game, as it was an atypical Clasico with a lot of intense play.

"Now we have to recover from this result for the next [Liga] game against Deportivo."

Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes was sent off after the final whistle for an outburst aimed at referee Lasa.
