Zinedine Zidane: 'I will be sacked by Real Madrid'

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane insists that he is "not afraid" of being sacked by the club as he knows it will happen at some point in the future anyway.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has admitted that he will be sacked by the club at some point in the future.

Managers at the Bernabeu have a notoriously short shelf-life, and speculation has already started circulating over the future of Zidane after Madrid drew for the fourth time in a row at the weekend.

The former France international steered Madrid to their 11th European crown during his debut season at the helm last term, but he insists that he has no fear of being fired by Los Blancos.

"I'm not afraid of being fired. Anyway, it will happen," he told RMC.

"I thoroughly enjoy what I do. I have an incredible opportunity, I am happy with what I do. I enjoy my job, which is not always easy, but I want to learn and advance.

"Working with these great players I learn every day. I am dedicated to what I do on the field. What is interesting to me is the week [of training], more than the matches. I have an exceptional group, whether we win or we lose they are good people."

Madrid had not drawn four games in a row for 10 years before their current run.
