Team News: Cristiano Ronaldo returns for Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo returns from injury to start for Real Madrid in this evening's La Liga match against rivals Atletico Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to the Real Madrid starting lineup for this evening's La Liga match against city rivals Atletico Madrid.

The 29-year-old was ruled out of his side's 4-2 defeat against Real Sociedad and did not play for Portugal over the recent international break due to injury.

He is joined in a strong attacking lineup that includes Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and James Rodriguez.

Javier Hernandez, who has joined the club on loan from Manchester United, could make his debut after being named on the bench.

As for the visitors, Mario Mandzukic leads the attack alongside fellow summer signing Raul Jimenez.

Real Madrid: Casilas; Pepe, Ramos, Coentrao, Arbeloa; Modric, Kroos; James, Bale, Ronaldo; Benzema
