Real Madrid's Lucas Vazquez has reportedly turned down the chance to sign for Atletico Madrid when his Blancos deal expires in the summer.
The versatile Spaniard is out of contract next month and is expected to head for the Bernabeu exit door as talks over an extension fail to bear fruit.
Real have supposedly tabled an improved offer to Vazquez, but he is yet to commit his future to the club and seems destined to end his association with Los Blancos this summer.
According to AS, Atletico registered their interest in signing Vazquez, but the 29-year-old politely rejected the opportunity due to his association with Real.
The report adds that Vazquez may be tempted to sign the new-and-improved offer that Zidane's side have tabled, but he could head for AC Milan if contract talks end up going nowhere.
Vazquez has scored two goals and set up eight more in 34 appearances this season, but he is currently sidelined with a knee issue.
