Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni has revealed that he is dreading meeting Italy during this summer's European Championships.
The veteran manager, who was in charge of the Italian national team between 2000 and 2004, admits that he will not enjoy facng his home country in Poznan on June 18.
"I would have certainly preferred not to have met Italy at the European championships, but the destiny has already been set," he said.
"I hope that this match is not going to be decisive in who fails to qualify from the group."
Croatia and Spain are the two other nations that complete Group C.
