John Coleman 'not reading much into' Rochdale's win over Blackburn Rovers

John Coleman is not getting carried away about Rochdale's friendly win over Championship side Blackburn Rovers.

Rochdale manager John Coleman was pleased with his side's 1-0 friendly win over Blackburn Rovers last night but refused to take too much from the result.

The League Two side at times had to hang on for the win and Coleman was quick to claim that on another night they could have conceded a few goals.

"Obviously you want to win games but you don't read too much into it," Press Association Sport quotes Coleman as saying. "You're looking to get certain things out of it.

"Blackburn showed at times in the second half why they are a couple of levels above us and I think on another night we possibly would have conceded.

"However give the lads their due, they stuck to their guns and in the end got everything that they wanted out of the game."

Rochdale finished bottom of League One last season.
