Rotherham United boss Steve Evans is hopeful of adding to his first-team squad before the end of the week.
Saturday's 4-0 loss to Swindon Town dropped the club into sixth spot in the League One table, but Evans has insisted that "one really poor 45 minutes" has not changed his feelings about his squad.
"We are in in talks with a club now and it progressing, that is all I can say. Our squad is strong and full of good players, one really poor 45 minutes does not make us a bad unit," Evans told PA.
"[On Saturday] we lacked the key ingredients to have a chance in any football match, desire, passion, tenacity and a vast number players who got worse as the match went on.
"That is a performance that these players will not be pleased about and believe me everyone is hurting."
Rotherham signed eight new players in the summer.
